This project began as an experiment with salt printing and photograms, capturing the delicate forms of flowers and leaves from my backyard during the summer months. As I refined my techniques, I became increasingly drawn to a recurring detail, leaves marked by intricate patterns of insect bites. These nibbled leaves, transformed by unseen creatures, reveals a quiet dialogue between plants and the insects that inhabit this shared space.
Intrigued by these organic imprints, I began collecting and printing them, highlighting the moments between presence and absence, consumption and creation. Through alternative photographic processes, I explore the delicate, often overlooked traces of life that shape the natural world. This body of work examines the hidden narratives of an ecosystem in motion, where even the smallest interactions leave lasting impressions.
Note: Still a Work in Progress
